Our History

Bernd Schomburg, owner of Schomburg Renovations has a long-standing history in the construction business. Born and raised in Germany, Bernd successfully ran a construction company from
1991 – 2004, which he sold in order to follow his dream and move to Canada.

After settling in Port Alberni, BC, Bernd and his son Lars founded Schomburg Renovations. The father-son operation quickly emerged as a thriving business, servicing all of Vancouver Island.
